Spending time enjoying the intersection of sunshine and water, (whether that be at a lake, by a river or in a pool,) is a time-honored summer ritual for many here in the West.
It isn’t every day we get to participate in the preservation of our history and culture, but in late June Western States’ Meridian store got just such a chance.
Jim King began his lengthy career at Western States in 1978 in shipping and receiving for Meridian. By 1980 he had made his way up to Finance Manager, a role he remained in until 1985. From 1985 to 2017, 32 years, Jim built his legacy as the VP of Finance.
There’s no doubt that Western States employees work hard. So every once in a while it’s nice to step back and celebrate the results of all that hard work.
Western States receives numerous facility tour requests each year. From school groups to nursing homes, long-time customers to individuals who just like big machines, many people are interested in seeing what goes on inside our stores.
Hopping into the cab of a 420F backhoe may seem mundane to those who frequently operate them, but there are a lot of employees here at Western States who live in cubicle land.
This year marks the 40th anniversary for Terri Lund, our Equipment Ops Supervisor. The occasion was celebrated in Meridian with colleagues, cake and family.
