WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

New Employee Orientation is officially on the road, with the first stop at the Lewiston store last week. 

Pre-COVID, new employees from all of our stores traveled to Meridian to attend New Employee Orientation, where they had the opportunity to meet the executive team, tour the Meridian campus, and learn about Western States history and culture.  Once COVID cases started to rise in our territory, the training team had to rethink the NEO format.

The Lewiston store hosted the first two “on the road” NEO sessions, with five new employees attending each one. Rather than have groups of employees travel to Meridian, Talent Development Director Brian Coefer brought NEO to Lewiston to talk to new employees about the Western States community while keeping everybody as safe as possible with limited group sizes, social distancing and face coverings. Instead of a fully in-person executive panel, a few members of the executive team traveled to Lewiston to attend in-person while the rest of the team attended the Q & A session virtually.

Overall, the first attempt at an on the road NEO program was a big success. Please welcome some of the newest members of the WSECO family!
