LEADING THE WAY

Managers from across our company met at the Idaho State Museum in Boise for an inspiring 2022 Spring Leadership Meeting.

Over a day and a half, leaders celebrated wins and listened to presentations about strategy and our Critical Success Factors, including topics like safety, employee retention, D365 software upgrade, facility updates and community involvement. Leaders also visited the Discovery Center of Idaho and participated in a miniature Operator Challenge using remote-control Cat machine toys.

The Leadership Meeting is a fantastic opportunity for managers to come together to learn about what other stores or departments have been working on, anticipate developments coming up for Western States in the next year and get inspired about new projects to take back to their teams. This year, highlights included updates on the new Liberty Lake and Butte locations, Product Support department changes and vision, exciting technology implementations, and a renewed emphasis on utilizing Volunteer Time Off (VTO).

“I really enjoyed the meeting. It’s important to see where we’re going as a company and what we’ve been doing,” said Twin Falls Branch Manager Brad Stamper, “Getting to talk to managers from other stores and hearing about how we’re focusing on our people was really awesome—we’re nothing without our people.”
