BENGALS MAKE WAY FOR HEAVY EQUIPMENT.
When walking through the doors of Holt Arena at ISU one would expect to hear squeaky high-tops on a shiny wood floor, the sporadic echo of an inflated leather ball bouncing and a lively crowd roaring with excitement. On January 19th – 21st, though, the collegiate basketball gym was emitting a quiet humming sound instead.
The 37th Eastern Idaho Ag Expo in Pocatello was swarming with consumers and vendors from around the region and the floor was jam packed with 15 – 20 foot tall agricultural equipment. Over 125 companies maxed out booth space for the 2016 event with an additional 50 vendors piled on a waiting list.
Fortunately for Western States Cat, ample floor space was locked down and equipment ranging from skid steers to wheel loaders were poised for display. An “A-Team” salesforce handled the herd of industry professionals with fervor, sharing new and improved Cat product advancements and solutions for a changing face of agriculture.
Organizers of the event stated, “Though agricultural equipment dealers acknowledge slumping commodity prices have cut into machinery sales, demand for floor space was stronger than ever.” The event showcased product from agriculture, forestry, hand tools, machine and garden tools, horticulture and floriculture industries and the turnout indicates a strengthening agriculture industry overall.
