SERVICE SCHEDULING SIMPLIFIED

Western States is proud to help develop new technologies to get the work done. This week many folks received a sneak peek at a new scheduling program called ServiceOne that was developed as a joint project between WSECO, Sales Force, Deloitte LLP and Caterpillar.

Internally, this program gives the service department a full view of current and upcoming projects in the shop and enables them to schedule service based on estimated time needed for the job.

Externally, customers will be able to use the program to connect to a shop or field service truck in real time. And it has many other features beyond scheduling, including automated alerts letting equipment owners know when work on their machine is started and/or completed, or when a service truck is expected to arrive at their desired location.

This week testing starts for the program in a real environment only at the Meridian campus.
