DUMP HUNGER DONATES $14,000

Dump Hunger has officially ended, and the results are in!

“When we saw that our food banks needed support to help those who were struggling, Western States stepped up. I’m proud of how our company came together to support the communities we serve,” President Kelly Olson said.

Over the last three months, Western States employees have generously come together to support local food banks. All totaled, employees raised $7,045 and 896 pounds of food. With the company match on monetary donations, that’s over $14,000!

“Food banks have been a vital lifeline for many people in our territory throughout the past few months.  And although things are slowly starting to return to ‘normal’, this continues to be an uncertain time for many people,” said Marketing Coordinator Carrie Mayer, who has been facilitating the campaign with each store, “It’s awesome that ‘Building our communities’ isn’t just a slogan we hang on the wall, but it’s a value that Western States lives out.”

A huge thank you to all those who donated food to the Dump Hunger campaign. With your help, food banks across our territory can continue working to make sure families across our territory have what they need.
