COWS AND CONGRATS.

“I’d been teasing all day that I was going to win,” Maxine said. “When they said my name, I was actually in shock. Then it still didn’t register until I looked up at the screen [inside the skid steer] and it said, ‘Welcome winner.’ I was like, oh my gosh, it’s mine!”

The American Angus Association held their second annual convention last week in Kansas. To ensure better attendance, they included a drawing for a Cat Skid Steer Loader (donated by Caterpillar Inc).

Everyone at the conference entered the drawing. From there, four finalists were drawn and each finalist was given an activation code to enter while sitting in the seat of the skid steer loader. The code that activated the machine belonged to the winner.

The first two finalists entered their code, but neither activated the machine. The third finalist, Maxine Davis of Antone Ranch in Mitchell, Oregon, entered her code and the machine came to life, naming her the winner.

We were thrilled to hear that a ranch from our region won this versatile piece of equipment and we look forward to delivering it to her 1200 cow ranch as soon as it arrives in our facility!
