UPGRADES FOR THE FUTURE

In the next few months, Western States will be upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support the needs of our growing business. Wondering what the upgrade means for you and your team? The D365 SharePoint site is the go-to hub for project updates, information and resources.

“We are excited to announce we will be upgrading our current Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to Microsoft Dynamics 365, “said Sakena Lesmeister, senior IT project manager and part of the D365 Upgrade team, “The great news is that the company invested a lot of time and effort into implementing Dynamics AX in 2016, making this upgrade much easier in terms of effort and demand on resources. The upgrade does not include new process changes, but you can expect minor enhancements to improve your day-to-day system experience.”

The new update will improve employee experience using AX by removing extra clicks, popups and scrolling. In addition to simplifying the user experience, the new D365 upgrade will help improve platform performance and disaster recovery by moving from an on-site infrastructure to the Cloud.

The project was kicked off on July 8, and is expected to fully go live in September 2022.  For more information, future project updates, trainings and more, head to the D365 SharePoint.
