NEW LAB EQUIPMENT IMPROVES DATA

Our oil lab in Meridian analyzes about 160 samples a day. That number includes approximately 12,000 samples brought in by our EMSolutions group each year. Processing all those samples is a big job but the lab can actually handle over 240 samples a day as the need for analysis continues to grow.

These analyses provide great benefits to our customers and shops as they help determine fluid quality and concerns for equipment. To date, our current system has yielded impressive results, but it’s about to get better.

A gas chromatograph is being installed in the lab. This new equipment will provide exact glycol and fuel percentages for each sample. This method provides enormous benefit over prior analytical methods which often produced fuel and coolant dilution false positives.

We are excited for the installation to finish! We can’t wait to see the impact this machine will have on our lab, shops, EMSolutions group and customer base!
